Join us for the “aireg Sustainable Aviation Fuels Conference 2023“ on May 4th and 5th at the “Novotel Berlin Am Tiergarten”. Hear from international experts, incumbents and stakeholders, gain new perspectives, and come away with new insights and strengthened network to accelerate the implementation of SAF.
At the conference, you can expect:
Aviation is a growth industry. In the coming years and decades, even higher numbers of fellow human beings will globally use aircrafts as comfortable and eco-efficient means of transport and travel. Given climatic and environmental challenges as well as the finite nature of fossil energy sources, air traffic is tasked to find alternatives to the currently used fossil-based kerosene. Besides technological advancements Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) will play a major, if not the key role, not only to substitute kerosene but to lead global aviation to a climate-neutral future towards the “Net Zero” goal in 2050. Reason enough to come together to elaborate, talk and discuss about SAF.
Therefore, aireg kindly invites you to gather with us and our 50 members for the “aireg Sustainable Aviation Fuels Conference 2023“.

The detailed aireg Roadmap "Sustainable Aviation Fuels - Status, Options, Necessary Actions" to the short version on "Roadmap on the Develpment and Introduction of Sustainable Aviation Fuels" is "ready to fly" and available as pdf here:
The widespread use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) is seen as a key lever for aviation to become CO2- neutral by mid-century. To reduce emissions effectively, a rapid scale-up of SAF production and use is urgently needed.
The climate targets of air transport are only achievable once all options are enabled. To provide sustainable aviation for everyone, it is necessary to design measures to reduce the climate effects of aviation in a cost-effective and technology-neutral manner.
aireg – Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany e.V. was founded in 2011 as an association of companies and organisations from industry, research and science. As a non-profit initiative, aireg is committed to the availability and use of renewable energies in aviation in order to achieve the ambitious CO₂ reduction targets of the aviation industry. The members come from all areas of the value chain of renewable energies for aviation: This ranges from research at universities and large research institutions, plant manufacturers and operators, biorefineries, the petroleum industry, engine and aircraft manufacturers, governmental organisations, non-governmental organisations and airports to airlines. The industrial members internationally cover a broad international spectrum, from start-ups to large corporations.
